Our followers range from the likes of Padma Lakshmi, Richa Moorjani, Bollyshake and so many more.
Coffee with Creatives/Workshops: Monthly, we hold Coffee with Creatives on IG Live, on our Facebook Group, or over Zoom where we bring in successful artists or up and coming stars to cultivate conversation so they can answer and engage with all of your questions about being a South Asian in the entertainment industry. We recently had a mental health workshop with Israa Nasir to talk about the impacts of mental health in the South Asian community. We want you to be involved in these conversations so feel free to actively participate and speak up during these workshops!
Podcasts: Trisha Batra works with Dash Radio for a monthly radio podcast where she interviews artists to talk about their experiences in the entertainment industry. Look out for the next podcast episode on the podcast section of the website! Want to see someone interviewed on Rukus Avenue Radio? Reach out!
College Ambassador Program: As a College Ambassador/Editor in Chief, you will have the opportunity to market your South Asian organizations’ events, produce content on the South Asian Productions platform in the form of articles, digital media and more, do social media takeovers, hold events on your campus, and help us build a community of South Asian creatives. Write about art, culture, and identity or anything in between. Let us know if you are interested in joining our team as a college ambassador.
This is just the beginning! A Monthly Newsletter, Coffee with Creative Workshops, Podcast Episodes, and all forms of content highlighting South Asian Culture, Identity, and entertainment created by University Students from our College Campus network.
We hope to continue to grow our platform and initiatives and we are excited for you to join us on this journey.
Our Mission Values
Be strong, be bold, be courageous! This platform is yours and we want to hear all your stories. We want your stories to impact individuals all around the world. One story can make a difference in someone else’s life.
Here at South Asian Productions, we focus on collaboration over competition. We want to create a community large enough so that we can connect with that one kid that needs more than they even know?
Being a South Asian in the entertainment industry is tough. It requires tough conversations and candidness a lot of us aren’t used to. Join us as we go through that journey together.
